*J & K Student’s Grievances, Social Activist Peer Tehleel writes to Punjab CM for intervention*
Echoing students’ concerns, social Activist Peer Tehleel on Thursday sent a letter addressed to Punjab Chief on behalf of over 4,000 J & K students.
“The students of various colleges affiliated to I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University are in a great dilemma because of the unfair decision of the university to conduct offline examinations during the pandemic whereas every other university has given the choice of online mode as well.”
Social Activist Peer said that students have been informed to stay outside campus at any place rather then staying in the hostels. If the mode of teaching was online, he questions, what is the justification for conducting examinations in person?
The students said that almost every university in the country is conducting online examinations or open-book tests.
“The Punjab technical University is risking students’ lives because they don’t take it seriously. Nobody is asking them to not conduct examinations. We only request that we be given a choice over the mode”, the students said.
