The illegally detained Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik, appeared virtually before the Delhi High Court, today, in a petition filed by India’s dreaded National Investigation Agency (NIA) seeking conversion of his life imprisonment to death penalty.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Yasin Malik appeared before the court via Video Conferencing in the false case registered against him. However the court adjourned the matter due to non-availability of the bench.

The JKLF chief was sentenced to life imprisonment by a special court of NIA in May, last year. He was arrested in concocted cases in February 2019 and presently lodged in New Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail.
