JKT accuses the ruling government of witch-hunting

Lahore, 22nd April: PTI senator Jahangir Khan Tareen claims that he has the support of 40 PTI members.

PTI’s Jahangir Tareen has said that he has the support of 40 PTI members and his party will only meet Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Tareen addressed a press conference outside a session’s court on Thursday and accused the ruling government of witch-hunting.

While telling that he is still facing investigations of the cases that began during the PML-N government, he said, “When I stood with Imran Khan, PML-N investigated my business and sent me notices.”

Tareen said that what the PTI government has done, was not even done by the PML-N government.

”A civil case has been turned into a criminal case,” added JKT.

The PTI leader alleged that the case against him was all made up and not related to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), rather it concerned more with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and the Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).

He further clarified that he will not meet any committee that has been formed to address his grievances and that he will meet with the Prime Minister only.

It is to be noted that before the press meeting, Tareen and his son Ali appeared before a session’s court for their hearing. During the hearing, Tareen’s lawyer informed the judge that both father-son duo were cooperating in the investigation.
