JUI-F senior leader Hafiz Hussain Ahmed passes away

Senior Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader and former senator Hafiz Hussain Ahmed has passed away in Quetta after battling kidney disease, family sources confirmed.

A veteran politician, Hafiz Hussain Ahmed was a close associate of Maulana Fazlur Rehman and had previously served as both a Member of the National Assembly and a Senator.

JUI-F officially confirmed his passing on its Facebook page. Notably, after a period of political differences, he rejoined JUI-F in December 2022.

His funeral will take place on Thursday in Quetta, where political and religious leaders are expected to pay their last respects.
