New Delhi: In India, Congress’ Rahul Gandhi on Thursday staged a sit-in outside Parliament for the third day in a row against the suspension of 12 members of the upper house of the Rajya Sabha. He said that the Modi government was cowardly and could not do justice to anyone.
According to Kashmir Media Service (KMS), Rahul Gandhi said that the government is afraid of the questions of the opposition in Parliament, so it avoids discussion on any issue.
He said that the government has suspended 12 members of the opposition in the upper house Rajya Sabha for not allowing the parliament to function to avoid debate on the proposal to repeal the agricultural laws.
Rahul Gandhi led a sit-in of opposition parties in front of a statue of Mahatma Gandhi outside Parliament House. Members of several parties, including Congress leaders Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary, KC Venugopal, and K Suresh, were carrying placards and chanting anti-Modi slogans.
On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi wrote in a tweet “Fear of questions, fear of truth, fear of courage. The government that is afraid only does injustice.”
