Karachi (19th Aug, 2019): Chairman K-Electric, Ikram Sehgal, accepts responsibility for the recent incidents in Karachi. 

According to reports of Baaghi TV, Ikram Sehgal has taken responsibility for recent events that occurred in Karachi, however, he has raised concerns against the “Kunda” system and cable operators. Sehgal has questioned the lack of monitoring of cable connections in the port city.

He has stated that the internet cables should not be connected to the power poles as it is illegal to do so. He has gone on to state that during the recent downpour in Karachi, the staff at K-Electric had been on duty for a consecutive 72 hours for which they should be appraised, however, they admit to their mistakes which will soon be rectified according to the K-Electric Chairman.

Ikram Sehgal has further criticized the government for lack of a proper drainage system due to which the residents of the port city had to experience the flood(s) in the recent weeks. He has stated that keeping the city clean is everyone’s responsibility.

UPDATE: K-Electric is reportedly committed to extending complete support during the ongoing investigation process. Sources confirm that, during the recent casualties that took place as a result of the rain in Karachi, an investigation is being laid out and K-Electric has assured all support during the process.
