Seven “commercial attachés” have been appointed to three countries since the Islamic Emirate took power in Afghanistan.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MoIC), these attachés have been appointed in Pakistan, Iran, and most recently Turkmenistan, with the aim of strengthening economic cooperation with various nations.
The Ministry spokesperson Akhundzada Abdul Salam Javad said that Mohammad Haroon Saeedi was recently appointed as the commercial attaché in Turkmenistan, and it is expected that a commercial attaché will be appointed in Istanbul soon as well.
“As of now, we have seven business attachés in various nations. One commercial attaché in Quetta, one in Peshawar, one in Karachi, and another in Islamabad in Pakistan. We have an attaché in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, and one in Tehran, Iran,” added Javad.
