Amid widespread public outrage over inflated electricity bills, protests continued across the nation on Sunday. The MQM-P, recognizing the situation’s sensitivity, indicated its intention to launch a campaign if necessary relief measures were not extended to the public, according to a report by 24NewsHD TV channel.
Given the escalating public discontent, interim Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has scheduled a meeting for today to strategize on delivering maximum relief to consumers facing high electricity bills.
