Kakar Tells Afghanistan to ‘Suppress the TTP’

Pakistan’s caretaker Prime Minister has urged the Islamic Emirate to hand over Afghanistan-based Pakistani nationals who he claims are involved in terror attacks in Pakistan.
Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar asked the Afghan caretaker government to use all their possible means in the fight against Tahreek-e-Taliban Pakistan [TTP].
“We ask the Afghan caretaker government to hand over to us those Afghanistan-based illegal Pakistani nationals who are involved in terror attacks in Pakistan. We are ready to accept them. Secondly, we ask the Afghan caretaker government to use their all-possible means to suppress the TTP,” said Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, the caretaker PM of Pakistan.
The spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate denied the claims of Kakar and said that Afghanistan’s soil will not be used to pose threats to other countries.
“I deny these claims and we will not allow anyone to use Afghanistan’s soil to threaten other countries. Pakistani authorities should understand their responsibilities,” said Zabiullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate.
In the meantime, political and military analysts believe that such remarks by Pakistani authorities will affect bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Earlier, Pakistani authorities claimed that the TTP accessed weapons left behind by the US and NATO forces in Afghanistan which the group [TTP] is using against Pakistan, but the Islamic Emirate denied such claims.
Vedant Patel, the US Department of State’s deputy spokesperson, said that no equipment was left behind by American forces during the withdrawal from Afghanistan.
