Kangana Ranaut lashes out at Rihanna and Greta Thunberg

Lahore, 3rd February: The American pop star Rihanna has recently expressed her reaction to the farmers protesting in India.

Baaghi TV: Singer Rihanna shared a news piece on her Twitter account from a foreign news agency stating that a ‘tractor rally’ was organized by farmers in New Delhi on January 26 during which protesters broke barriers to enter into India’s capital.

This lead to clashes between police and protesters after which the internet service was shut down in several districts of Haryana.

Rihanna wrote in her Twitter post, “Why aren’t we talking about this?!”

She shared a CNN article on the demonstrations with her 100.9 million followers on the platform, using the hashtag #FarmersProtest.

Rihanna’s tweet angered the supporters of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) who criticized the international singer. While the Indian actress Kangana Ranaut also lambasted Rihanna and called her a fool.

Reacting to Rihanna’s tweet, Kangana wrote, “No one is talking about it because these are not farmers, they are terrorists who want to break India so that China can take over this broken nation and make it a Chinese colony like America. Sit down you fool, we are not selling our nation like you dummies.”

The same article was shared by teen climate activist Greta Thunberg, who also expressed solidarity with the farmers.

The ‘Queen’ actor also lashed at Thunberg, saying, “No fancy activists will talk about genuine environmentalist our own grandma … but they will definitely promote dumb and a spoilt brat ⁦Greta Thunberg who is being used by the entire left lobby and in return she gets to skip her education and school.”

It is to be noted that tens of thousands of farmers have camped out on the outskirts of New Delhi for more than two months, demanding the withdrawal of new agricultural laws that they say will benefit private buyers at the expense of growers.

The protests turned violent on Jan 26, when farmers broke into the historic Red Fort complex, with one protester killed and hundreds injured.

Talks between the government and the protest leaders have so far failed.
