Karachi (12th Feb): An attempt to send drugs worth Rs 4 crore to Bahrain under the guise of dried fruits failed.
In Karachi, customs foiled an attempt to send drugs worth Rs. 41 million to Bahrain under the guise of a parcel of dried fruits. According to details, Pakistan Customs Jinnah Airport thwarted an attempt to send drugs from Pakistan under the guise of a parcel of dried fruits in a successful operation on Pakistan Post Express Mail Service Export Shara Faisal.
Deputy Collector Customs Inam Wazir told the media that the ammitamine crystal was being sent to Bahrain from Pakistan by parcel in 14 sealed tin packs. Worth Rs 41 million.
He said that the parcel containing 14 ton pack was booked by a resident of Karachi named Muhammad Ali who was arrested and remanded by the competent court. Authorities have registered a case under the Customs / Narcotics Act and started investigation.
