Karoonjhar: Netizens retaliate after Sindh Govt’s decision

Karoonjhar rocks are known to be rocks of all ages and is a historical site for Sindh; however, Sindh Government’s decision for the place has sent the twitter users in a frenzy and #SaveKaroonjhar is trending in Pakistan. 

Sources reveal that the destruction is taking place for the purpose of extracting granite from the rocks and mountains.

While many want the site to be declared as a World Heritage Site, many also blame the ruling party, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).

Many people of Sindh have also come forward in defense of the site and stated that it is a part of their culture and destroying Karoonjhar is leaving no marks for the coming generations.
