Kelly Clarkson over the top to take over Ellen DeGeneres
New York, 27th January: Kelly Clarkson, the American singer-songwriter and television personality is very excited to take over Ellen DeGeneres’ top spot.
Baaghi TV: According to reports, the US TV host is over the top to garner top ratings for her show ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’.
As per reports from Page Six, Ellen’s ratings have dropped eight per cent. Meanwhile, ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’, which is aired right after could take over Ellen’s 3 pm slot if the show gets discontinued in the near future.
While ‘The Ellen Show’ has a record of becoming the most-watched shows of all time in the past seven years, the success came rolling down when the host was caught up in a scandal last year over the toxic workplace and alleged bullying with her staff members.

On the other hand, as per stats, Clarkson’s talk show hit a season-high last month and matched the figures of DeGeneres for the first time ever.
A source close to the American Idol alum revealed to the HollywoodLife that the singer feels ‘honoured’ with the high rating of ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’’.

The insider informed, “Kelly is always thinking outside the box, so it’s no surprise TV insiders are making their own predictions about what could happen if, and when, there comes a point that Ellen’s contract ends. But it would be totally premature to assume anything at this time.”
The source also added, “Kelly has so much to celebrate and couldn’t be prouder. When everybody went into quarantine and most shows shut down, The Kelly Clarkson Show continued production.

“Eventually, they were able to go back to their studio when nobody else did and even added a virtual audience so guests could feed off the energy during musical performances,” the source said.
However, replacing Ellen is out of the question because she owns the rights to her show. The same time slot could be handed over to someone else as the show producers at Telepictures want to stick to the 3 pm period.

A source told Page Six, “Telepictures knows Ellen wants out, but execs want to keep the time slots and put another host in her place.”
Insider added, “Kelly would likely get Ellen’s time slots, but Telepictures will fight to keep them.
Clarkson, 38, rose to fame in 2002 for winning the inaugural season of American Idol. Her debut single, ‘A moment Like This’ topped the US Billboard Hot 100and became the best-selling of 2020.
