Cricket West Indies appoints Kieron Pollard as new Captain of ODI and T20 Cricket team

JAMAICA: Kieron Pollard will be the new Captain of West Indies in white-ball cricket. He will replace Jason Holder as ODI captain and Carlos Brathwaite as T20I captain.

According to detalis Cricket West Indies appoints Kieron Pollard as new Captain of ODI and T20 Cricket team. West Indies have had a rough outing in the last three months or so. The Caribbean side could only secure a couple of wins in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 after starting the mega event with a thumping victory over Pakistan. After that, they lost the ODI and T20I series against India. While announcing Pollard as the new captain, President of Cricket West Indies Ricky Skerritt said “We believe Kieron Pollard is the right person at the right time now to lead the West Indies team in white-ball cricket”.

On the other hand, Jason Holder will continue to lead West Indies in Test cricket.
