
LAHORE: A student from the prestigious Kinnaird College for Women (KCWU) lost her life after she suffered a tragic fall from the first floor balcony.
The student, identified as Aida Faheem of the Department of Computer Science, reportedly fell from the balcony at approximately 7:50 AM as confirmed by a press release shared by the college administration. The deceased was “reportedly feeling dizzy”.

As stated in the press release, the administration responded in a timely manner by seeking immediate medical attention within two minutes of the incident. Rescue 1122 arrived on the scene within ten minutes and transported Ms. Faheem to the nearest hospital accompanied by senior management and college staff.
Despite all efforts, Ms. Faheem was pronounced deceased at the facility. “All medical and legal formalities were adopted as per standard protocol. Local authorities have completely reviewed the incident site, which remained preserved for formal investigation”, read the press release.

The incident has sent shock waves across academic circles with many questioning the college management. A call for protest was circulated asking conscientious citizens and fellow students to participate to demand justice and accountability for Aida Faheem following the tragic accident that claimed her life. According to the call for protest, the Principal’s signature’s were required but the Principal was nowhere to be found.
In a separate incident, another student of Kinnaird, Ms. Eman Rauf passed away after sustaining burn injuries at her home last Thursday.
