Know your Risk Areas during COVID-19

Lahore, 3rd July: The pandemic coronavirus is wreaking havoc across the world, originating from Wuhan, China, since December 2019, it is still taking its toll globally.
According to the toll worldwide, as of 2nd July 2020, there have been 10,533,779 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 512,842 deaths, as reported to WHO.
With such serious consequences and affecting social activities all around the world for the past six months now, people intend to resume their jobs, businesses, and social gatherings.

Texas Medical Association Committee has asked people to take required precautionary measures during COVID-19 by keeping a safe distance among each other, washing hands frequently, and covering their faces with a mask. It is necessary to take these measures in order to protect yourself and the loved ones around you.
According to a report by Baaghi TV, Texas Medical Association Committee (TMA) on Infectious Diseases has very precisely marked down the risk areas during the COVID-19 and advised to function keeping in mind the risk of getting infected while in these areas.

The physicians from the TMA COVID-19 Task Force have ranked the areas on a scale of 1 to 10 pertaining to the risk they carry.

According to this graph, the categories are divided from Low-Risk to the High-Risk areas.
1. Low-Risk Areas: On a scale of 1-10, this category covers the risk number of 1-2 and includes pumping gasoline, take-out from a restaurant, camping, and playing tennis.
2. Moderate-Low Areas: This scale runs between 3-4 and includes grocery shopping, going for a walk, playing golf, staying at a hotel for two nights, sitting outside a restaurant, or at a doctor’s waiting room, going to a library or going to the playground for one hour.
3. Moderate-Risk Areas: This category moves from number 5 to 6 and includes going to a mall or a beach, swimming in a pool, going to someone’s house, sending kids to school, and working in an office for a week.

4. Moderate-High-Risk Areas: Number 7 is the moderately high-risk area, which is salons, eating inside a restaurant, attending a wedding or a funeral, traveling by plane, playing football, and basketball.
5. High-Risk Areas: This category comes under numbers 8 and 9 and poses the highest risk. The places under this are, working out at a gym, going to a movie theatre, eating at a buffet, going to a bar, attending a concert, sports event, or a large religious gathering.
