Jan 22, 2022: According to a report by Aaj News, at least four people were killed and a child was injured in an explosion in the Gullu Tangi area of Kohat on Saturday.

Police sources said the blast may have been caused by an explosive device. It was not immediately clear if the blast was a terrorist act or the result of an accident.

Earlier, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Saturday said that after being defeated at the hands of Taliban in Afghanistan, the Indian spy agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) backed groups were planning to carry out terrorist activities in Pakistan.

Rashid said that two TTP terrorists were killed in Islamabad on the 18th of this month and the same action would be taken against anyone who tried to disturb the peace of the motherland.

“The security agencies are fully prepared to stop the terrorist activities in the country and incidents like the Lahore blast cannot dampen our resolve and morale,” Rashid said. The minister said that the Anarkali incident was being investigated and the culprits would be held accountable soon.

Meanwhile, terror attacks in Pakistan have increased in the last few months. Earlier this week, at least three people were killed and over 25 people injured in a bomb blast in Lahore’s Old Anarkali area.

Last month, at least one person was killed and 10 others were injured in a blast at Shahrah-e-Iqbal, Quetta.
