KPK govt to restore Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor's homes

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government has taken to restore the mansions of legendary Indian actors Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor and have started the renovation.

According to reports, the legendary actors’ houses were acquired by the KPK government and restoration work has begun. Debris lying in both houses has been removed and more work also will be done.

Under the government decision, the houses of Raj Kapoor Haveli and Dilip Kumar will be restored to their original condition.

On the other hand, Fawad Ishaq, nephew of great Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar, offered his appreciation of the government’s decision to secure these ancestral homes of his uncle and Raj Kapoor, and said that Dilip Kumar’s attachment to Peshawar never diminished.

It may be recalled that the 6-marla Kapoor mansion, owned by Raj Kapoor, is located in Dhaki Munawar Shah, and was built by Prithviraj Kapoor’s father Dewan Kapoor, while the legendary actor Dilip Kumar, who ruled the Indian film industry for decades, was born in his ancestral home in Mohalla Khudadad, which is situated in the iconic Qissa Khwani Bazaar area.
