A DHL Global Boeing 767-323 (registration A9C-DHU), Flight DHX512 was taking off from the Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore when 6 tyres burst with hydraulic leakage as the aircraft was starting the take-off roll.
According to the details, the only functional runway of the Allama Iqbal International Airport is blocked from past many hours due to DHL Boeing 767 incident.
The airport’s runway 18R/36L is blocked by the aircraft after it aborted take-off from Runway 36L around 7:36 PM Pakistan Standard Time (PKT).
Due to the blocked runway, Serene Air Boeing 737-800 (registration AP-BND) Karachi to Lahore flight ER524 has been diverted to Islamabad. Moreover, the AirSial Airbus A320 (registration AP-BOB) Karachi to Lahore flight PF145 has also been diverted to Islamabad.
According to media reports, Qatar Airways Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner (registration A7-BHF) flight QR8808 from Doha is flying holding pattern near Lahore since 8:14 PM.
