BaaghiTV: Holidays have been announced in educational institutions in Lahore, the provincial capital of Punjab.

Educational institutions will be closed due to smog. They will be closed three days a week i.e Saturday, Sunday and Monday , while school attendance will be four days, a notification was also issued in this regard. The notification will be implemented from November 27 and will be implemented till January 15.

It should be noted that Lahore is currently suffering from severe smog due to air pollution. Citizens are suffering from a large number of diseases due to smog. Lahore has been declared the most polluted city in the world in terms of smog. Air pollution in the city has risen alarmingly. In Lahore, the air quality index reached 397.

Important steps have been taken to control smog of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar. It has been decided to close all public and private educational institutions within the limits of Lahore Metropolitan Corporation on Monday. Educational institutions will be able to arrange virtual classes. All private offices will remain closed on Monday. Staff of private offices will be able to work from home. Relief Commissioner Punjab has issued notification on the directive of Chief Minister Usman Buzdar. These decisions will be applicable till January 15, 2022.

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that all necessary steps would be taken to control smog. Punjab government has already declared smog a disaster. The government is taking all possible steps to control smog and will continue to do so. Neglect to implement government measures to control smog. Will not be tolerated

On the other hand, operations are being carried out against the perpetrators of smog. In a week, 225 cases have been registered and 153 persons have been arrested. So far, 2,217 cases have been registered for spreading pollution while 2,294 accused have been arrested. Indiscriminate action against the perpetrators of smog will continue.

Strict operations of anti-smog squad of district administration Lahore are also underway for prevention of smog. Report was issued from 15th November, 2021 to 20th November, 2021. Violations were found in industrial units .255 industrial units were operating without control system. 87 industrial units were sealed. 03 FIRs were registered. Fines of Rs. 02 lakh were imposed. There are anti-smog squads in five tehsils to check the city’s industrial units.
