Lahore police express solidarity with Kashmirs

Lahore: Lahore Police joined hands with all the segments of society to express solidarity and brotherhood with the people of indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir on the eve of Kashmir Solidarity Day and provided fool proof security to the participants of all the programs including rallies and seminars.

Lahore Police had chalked out a comprehensive security plan and ensured implementation on it with letter and spirit. More than 02 thousand Police officers and officials including SsP, SDPOs, Inspectors, upper subordinates, Anti Riot Force and SSU personnel performed duty on different events. The CCPO Lahore Fayyaz Ahmad Dev had directed the supervisory and deputed police officers and officials to remain alert and provide maximum security to the participants of all the events held in the city in connection with Kashmir Day. Fayyaz Ahmad Dev said that it was top priority  of Lahore Police to provide foolproof security to the participants of Kashmir Day events and all out efforts were made in coordination with different departments including Punjab Safe Cities Authority, City District Government and Law Enforcement Agencies to meet this purpose. The participants of  Kashmir Day rallies, seminars and related events were allowed  to enter the rallies after complete checking through three layer security mechanis.Officers and officials of Lahore Police ensured complete body search of the participants by metal detectors, electric barriers and walkthrough gates. Police officials in plain dress were also deputed at different sensitive points to keep a vigilant eye on each and every movement. Search and sweep operations were also conducted in different areas of the city prior to Kashmir Day to foil any possible nefarious designs of anti social elements. Checking of the citizens and suspected vehicles continued at Exit and Entrance points of the city and teams of Dolphin Squad, Police Respone Unit and Elite Force ensured effective patrolling around the rallies and important areas of the provincial metropolis. In his message on Kashmir Solidarity Day, Commander Lahore Police Fayyaz Ahmad Dev said, “We salute the unshaken commitment of Kashmiri people for the right of self determination. The brave people of occupied Kashmir have rekindled the freedom movement with their blood and the whole Police Force along with the Pakistani nation is standing with their Kashmiri brethren.” People of occupied Jammu and Kashmir are fighting a war of their survival and freedom. The Kashmiri people have written a new history with their blood to achieve the goal of self determination, Fayyaz Ahmad Dev added.
