Lahore: Lahore Police, in continuation of its crackdown against land grabbers and goons have retrieved occupied property worth millions of rupees of an Overseas Pakistani citizen from the illegal occupants.

According to the details, the overseas Pakistani citizen Muhammad Ayaz Sheikh had rented his house to some people in Sherakot area eight years ago but the accused Amjad Pervez and his allies belonging to Qabza Mafia occupied the house of the overseas citizen in his absence.

The occupants managed fake documents of the ownership and refused to vacate the house as well as harassed him. The citizen submitted a written complaint to the CCPO Lahore Additional IG Fayyaz Ahmad Dev against the occupants for redressal of his grievance. CCPO Lahore Fayyaz Ahmad Dev directed SSP Discipline Ejaz Rashid to review the case and take proper action according to law against the culprits. Accordingly, SSP Discipline Ejaz Rashid directed concerned officers who took prompt action against the illegal occupants and retrieved the possession of the house within two days. An FIR has been registered against the accused persons in PS Sherakot. Police handed over the possession of the house to the overseas citizen. The Overseas citizen Ayaz Sheikh met with the CCPO LahoreFayyaz Ahmad Dev who handd over the keys of the house to the actual owner. Ayaz Sheikh thanked the CCPO Lahore and his team for the speedy justice provided to him on his orders. The overseas Pakistani citizen also lauded the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar as well as continuous efforts of Capital City Police Chief to make provincial capital free of Badmash Mafia and land grabbers. Capital City Police Officer Lahore Additional IG Fayyaz Ahmad Dev said that Lahore police has been dealing with iron hands to those who have illegally possessed the land and property of poor citizens. Anti Qabza Mafia Cell as well as a dedicated non- emergency Helpline 1242 established at CCPO office have been making all out efforts for redress of grievances of citizens affected from land grabbers and criminals, he concluded.
