Ghulam Mehmood Dogar apprised the Vice Chancellor UHS that Lahore Police had the highest arrest and recovery rate in criminal cases. UHS Vice-Chancellor Professor Javed Akram said that the university would provide technical expertise to the Punjab Police. He said that institutions should work together if resources were scarce and limited. “There is a common value between doctors and police that both save lives of the people”, he added. DIG Investigation Shariq Khan said that the workshop would build the capacity of the police in the field of forensic sciences. “After this training session, our investigating officers will be able to get the accused punished for what they did,” he added.
