LAHORE (29th Nov, 2019): The Punjab Government made large-scale reshuffle in the Police, after the posting of new Inspector General of Police (IGP), Shoaib Dastgir.
According to reports of Baaghi TV, the list for the transfer of roundabout 500 officers was prepared at Chief Minister House, after the authorities appointed Shoaib Dastgir as new IGP by replacing him with Captain (Retd) Arif Nawaz Khan.
In the latest series of transfers, many police officers with higher ranks including superintendent police (SP), deputy superintendent police (DSP), senior superintendent police (SSP), additional inspector general (AIG), and inspector are reshuffled on Friday.
Sources of Baaghi TV have confirmed that the Prime Minister, Imran Khan is not happy with the bureaucracy, especially in Punjab, and has given an approval to transfer over 500 officers serving in Punjab.
Be clear that, the federal government, on Tuesday, had replaced Capt (Retd) Arif Nawaz Khan with Shoaib Dastgir as the inspector general of police (IGP) in Punjab.
