Lebanese volunteers band together for clean up operation

Beirut, 7th August: After a catastrophic blast at the Beirut Port on the 4th of August 2020, Lebanese volunteers have banded together to clean up and give aid.
According to reports of Baaghi TV, a cleanup operation is underway after the huge blast at Beirut’s port took place three days back.

Gulf News reported that hundreds of young Lebanese ditched drinks for brooms to sweep debris in the absence of a state-sponsored cleanup operation following a deadly blast.

Massive explosions rocked downtown Beirut on Tuesday, flattening much of the port, damaging buildings and blowing out windows and doors as a giant mushroom cloud rose above the capital.

Lebanese volunteers take part to clean up the damaged neighborhood of Mar Mikhael. Youth are seen cleaning the streets after a massive blast shook half of Beirut on Tuesday.
Volunteers also gather aid and food supplies for the affectees of the blast.

They are seen distributing a large number of food items and basic neccessaities of life to the victims of the Beirut Blast.
It is to be remembered that a massive blast took place on Tuesday in Beirut that destroyed half of the city, killing 157 people and injuring more than 5,0000 people so far.
