Lesson Today: Surah no. 47, Ayah no. 38

Lo! Ye are those who are called to spend in the way of Allah, yet among you there are some who hoard. And as for him who hoardeth, he hoardeth only from his soul. And Allah is the Rich, and ye are the poor. And if ye turn away He will exchange you for some other folk, and they will not be the likes of you.

Behold, you are the ones called upon to give in the cause of Allah. Yet some among you are ungenerous. Whoever is ungenerous is ungenerous to himself only. For Allah is all-sufficient and you are poor. If you should turn away, He will replace you by others who then will not be like you.

Your faith as true believers in Allah (creator of this global world) and His last prophet Mohammad (SAW) is firm which is the real key in the understanding of Quran and the sayings of the last prophet of Allah. There is always a call for Allah to help and spend in the path of Allah if you have resources and finances, then spend in the path of Allah to the best that you could afford.

Allah knows if you have or not have that kind of resources or finances or money, please do not turn away. It is a call from Allah. You have the choice to say yes or no or turn away. Do not be miser in spending in the path of Allah and for the sake of Allah.

The true believers never have doubt (firm belief) and strive with what Allah has given them as wealth and their lives; they always ready to help and spend to best of their ability and resources. Remember Allah is all sufficient and needs nothing. We are poor and need Allah’s blessing all the time. Always thankful to Allah and Allah alone. He is kind and merciful. He listens and showers His blessing on us.

Consider our wealth and our lives are given to us by Allah and spend for the cause of Allah; (gifts of Allah’s blessings).

It is a warning for those who are miser and turn away to spend for the sake of Allah out of His given wealth; then Allah will replace you by others who will be not like you and would spend for the cause of Allah.

It is true. It is you who have to make a decision and be ready when there is a call to spend in path of Allah and for the sake of Allah and Allah alone. Do not think about gain or loss. It is a belief.

A great lesson from this Ayah. Read, ponder, ask, knock, and understand Quran (command) and learn from the sayings of the prophets (peace be on him) if asking for successes in this world (present) and hereafter (unknown future). Once again, it is a belief. Thank you.
