The Lahore High Court (LHC) Registrar Office has raised objection to the protective bail applications submitted by PTI Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan.

The Registrar Office on Monday found that no documents were attached to Imran Khan’s bail pleas. The office directed for attaching the required documents with the bail pleas.

Earlier, LHC’s Deputy Registrar Judicial received the protective bail applications in three cases.

According to sources, a two-member bench has been constituted to hear Imran Khan’s bail pleas in two cases pertaining to Ramna Police Station. Justice Ali Baqir Najfi and Justice Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi will take up the pleas after 12:00 noon, the sources added.

A single bench will hear the PTI chief’s bail plea after arrest warrants for Imran Khan issued in Toshakhana case.

On Sunday, Imran’s lawyer claimed that he had submitted three protective bail applications on behalf of the PTI chairman in three cases including Toshakhana case to the high court. But it was learnt Monday morning that the petitions have not been fixed for hearing so far.

The legal team of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan failed to file protective bail applications in the Lahore High Court yesterday as teh security staff of the building did not let them in because no official was inside due to holiday on Sunday.

Imran’s lawyer Azhar Siddique tried to give the bail application to the High Court security staff but failed as the security staff refused to receive it saying they were not authorized to accept it.

Later, the PTI’s legal team including Fawad Chaudhry and Shaukat Basra left the LHC without filing the petition for the protective bail of Imran Khan.

As per the report, PTI has made the Islamabad Ramna Police Station SHO a party in the petition as a case was registered against former prime minister Imran Khan under several provisions including anti-terrorism.
