LHC sets free PTI Haleem Adil Sheikh, terms arrest illigal

Lahore High Court granted bail to Sindh Assembly Opposition leader Haleem Adil Sheikh till July 18th.

Haleem Adil was ‘arrested’ from Lahore by plainclothes personal.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has termed it a vile act of fascism.

LHC announced the reserved verdict of the case. Lahore Police brought PTI leader before the Court where LHC termed the detention of Haleem Adil Sheikh illigal.

Ayesha Haleem Adil Sheikh—daughter of Haleem Adil Shiekh had claimed, “We contacted the Gulberg thana which has control of the area my father was taken from, the police officer laughed at our faces and said he has no idea where Haleem Adil and that they have no information about the arrest. If not the police, who has taken him.”

Ayesha claimed that when she contacted Lahore Police, they replied negative and said that they did not arrest him and they have no idea where he is and that they do not know of any plans for his arrest.

PTI termed the alleged arrest of Haleem Adil a vile act in the middle of the night.

“After arresting Imran Riaz, this is yet another shameful fascist act,” the party’s Twitter handle said that.
