Lahore, 24th March: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has granted interim bail to Maryam Nawaz till April 12.

Baaghi TV: According to reports, Lahore High Court has restrained the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) from arresting PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz.

According to reports, a two-member bench comprising Justice Sarfraz Dogar and Justice Asjad Javed Gharial heard the petition after which the court ordered Maryam Nawaz to appear before the NAB and respond to the bureau’s notices.

Earlier in the day, Baaghi TV reported that Maryam Nawaz in her petition in Lahore High Court said that NAB has summoned her in two inquiries on March 26, the petitioner can be arrested. Hence, the court should restrain NAB from arresting her.

It is pertinent to mention here that the anti-corruption watchdog has summoned Maryam Nawaz on March 26 at its headquarters in Lahore in the case of alleged illegal transfer of 1500 canals and in the case of Chaudhry Sugar Mills.

The surrounding area has been declared a ‘red zone’ and its security has been handed over to the Rangers.
