Lowest Interest Rate Record in the Bank of England

London, Dec 17 (AFP/APP): The Bank of England has kept its key interest rate at a record-low 0.1 percent and maintained the huge amount of cash stimulus pumping around the economy, it announced Thursday.

Following its final monetary policy meeting before the end of the Brexit transition period on December 31, the BoE said it stands ready to carry out “whatever additional action is necessary” as the coronavirus pandemic slashes economic growth.
