Lt Gen Shaheen Mehmood visits Armoured Division

Lieutenant (Lt) General Shaheen Mazher Mehmood Commander Mangla Corps visited Armoured Division where he briefed about ongoing post shipment inspections of the first batch of newly inducted state of the art VT-4 tanks.

Corps Commander, Lt Gen Mehmood, witnessed the mobility and maneuverability test of tanks and appreciated the efforts undertaken by the Formation for smooth conduct of the induction process.

It is to be noted that General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), also visited the National Defence University (NDU), Islamabad today and addressed participants of National Security and War Course (NSWC) – 21.

Speaking on the occasion, COAS dilated upon the evolving strategic and regional environment. Pakistan stands for peace within and all around, as it looks forward to acting as a bridge between regions, COAS said.

Congratulating the participants on successful completion of their course, COAS advised them to stay focused on attaining professional excellence while remaining abreast with revolutionary advancements in warfare which are redefining national security.
