At least six people were injured, and several properties were set ablaze after Hindutva gangs threw rope bombs in a mosque during Taraweeh prayers in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh.

Violent clashes erupted during a rally celebrating India’s Champions Trophy victory. The rally, organized by Hindutva groups, passed through the city’s Jamia Masjid while Muslims were offering Taraweeh prayers, leading to unrest when rope bombs were hurled into the mosque.

The incident triggered chaos and stone-pelting, resulting in the torching of a dozen vehicles and shops. Jamia Masjid’s Imam, Mohammad Javed, questioned how the rally was allowed to pass through the area without prior approval.
