Mahira has grown old, should play a mother instead: Firdous Jamal

The veteran actor Firdous Jamal remarked, Mahira Khan has grown old and should play the role of mother of heroine on Friday.

According to reports of Baaghitv, the veteran actor Firdous Jamal stirred a debate after saying Humsafar actress, Mahira Khan has grown old and should play the mother of heroine. He made these comments in a morning show Salam Zindagi hosted by Faisal Qureshi, where he appeared as a guest.

Firdous Jamal remarked about Mahira, “She has aged as well. That’s not the age to play the role of a heroin.” The actor said his remarks should be taken positively as he doesn’t want to hurt feelings of anybody.

Following these remarks, there started a debate on social media where people termed them sexist remarks for calling out the ages of the actress, which is against the spirit of feminism and integrity of the female actors.
