The Islamabad police have taken statements from the victim girl and her father regarding the severe torture case involving a domestic helper at the hands of the wife of a civil judge. Meanwhile, Civil Judge Asim Hafeez’s wife, Somia Asim, has been granted bail by the Lahore High Court until August 1.
On a platform formerly known as Twitter, the Islamabad police posted the following message: “Statements from the girl and her father have been recorded. The accused has been granted bail until August 1. The certified medical report has not been received by the Islamabad Police yet. The investigation is ongoing, and all actions are being conducted in accordance with the law. It is essential to recognize that child labor is a crime, and if anyone is aware of such incidents, please report them to the police via the Pukar Helpline 15.”
