Martyrdom anniversary of Sowar M. Hussain Shaheed being observed today
The 53rd martyrdom anniversary of Sowar Muhammad Hussain Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider, is being observed today.
Sowar Hussain was born on 18th January, 1949 at Jatli village in Gujar Khan.
During 1971 war, he took an active part in every battle and spotted the enemy tanks close to a minefield near the village Harar Khurd.
During the battle, he received a burst of machine-gun fire in the chest and embraced martyrdom on this day in 1971.
