Lahore, 7th April: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has given time to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to submit its reply seeking Maryam Nawaz’s bail cancellation plea.

According to Baaghi TV’s report, LHC has given time to the NAB to file its response regarding its plea against PML-N’s vice president Maryan Nawaz’s bail cancellation.

The case headed by Justice Sarfraz Dogar was heard by a two-judge bench on Wednesday.

Baaghi TV reported yesterday that the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz had submitted a six-page response at the high court against the NAB’s petition regarding her bail plea in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.

A prosecutor from NAB requested the court to grant him some time to go through Maryam’s reply and file a rejoinder.

LHC granted his request and adjourn the hearing of the case for an indefinite period.

In her six-page response to LHC, Maryam Nawaz had appealed to the court to grant her bail in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case as the anti-corruption watchdog had summoned her after keeping silent for 14 months.

she alleged that the bureau is suppressing the voice of the opposition leader and working as a puppet at the directions of the ruling government.
