ISLAMABAD: Maryam Nawaz demands Re-polling but reverts after Fawad Chaudhry’s challenge.
Maryam Nawaz demanded that re-polling should be held at 23 polling stations. Her demand was met with Fawad Chaudhry’s challenge as he stated, “We are ready to conduct polling”. To this Maryam Nawaz immediately took her demand back.
Talking to media in Islamabad along with other leaders, Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that Election Commission is an independent body and we respect it. We have to move towards election reforms; we are going to introduce electronic voting system soon. The Prime Minister has always strived for transparent elections. PTI offered re-election on objection at 23 polling stations on PML-N complaint but PML-N started changing its position every now and then.
PTI leader Usman Dar said that PML-N changed its statement as it usually does. The great people of Daska voted for PTI and all the results were accepted by these people. PML-N has no such objection at the other 337 polling stations. Today in the Election Commission they took a great U-turn. However, we will defend the decision of the people of Daska and have full confidence in the Election Commission.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Malhi said that RO has given its statement. The Daska election was quite satisfactory. PTI won and the decision will be made public soon. Although PML-N workers ruined the distrct’s peace.
On the other hand, Maryam Nawaz backtracked after a short time and with her own demand for re-polling at 23 polling stations, Maryam Nawaz said that the whole election should be held again.
On which Fawad Chaudhary says that it is better for Bibi to keep her word. She herself had earlier said that polling should be held at these 23 polling stations. Now she is denying her statement and saying that the whole election should be held again. Fawad Chaudhary complained  that one must keep  their word.
