Massive Coal Reserve Discovered in Thar
THARPARKAR: Recently, huge coal deposits were discovered in Thar, as announced by the Sindh Government on Monday. The deposits were found at the Thar Coal Block-1 site.
On Monday, the Sindh Government was pleased announced the discovery of three billion tonne coal deposits in Thar, on their official Twitter page.

Experts have estimated that the coal reserves are worth 3 billion to 5 billion of crude oil.
“The coal was deposited after digging 145 meters in Block-1 site. We are proud to announce the second achievement of the Sindh Government,” Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said.
According to the administration, the annual production is likely to be at 7.8 million tonnes in the first place. It should be noted that the Thar Coal Block-1 was rated under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The Chinese firm was also congratulated over the discovery of the coal deposits.
