Maulana Tariq Jamil’s son shot dead in Mian Chanu

Renowned Islamic scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil’s son was shot dead in Mian Chanu. Ahmed Jameel was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Punjab IG Dr Usman Anwar said senior Police officers have collected the evidence and investigating the cause of the death of the deceased.

Tariq Jameel said, “My son Asim Jameel passed away today in Talamba. This accidental death made the atmosphere mournful. We request you all to remember us in your prayers on this sad occasion. May Allah grant my son a high place in Jannat al-Firdous.”

Multan Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sohail Chaudhry says that Maulana Asim Jameel was shot in the chest.
