Meera’s request for financial aid declined

Lahore, 26th July 2020: Famous Lollywood actress Meera’s request for financial aid has been declined by the Punjab Government. According to reports of Baaghi TV, recently the actress Meera had requested for a sum of Rs 40mn from the Artist Support Fund, launched by the Punjab Information and Cultural Department. The ‘Baaji’ actor had sought Rs 40 million, claiming that her finances were in dire straits. Actress Meera warns to take legal action against Rajinikanth, Thalapathy Reportedly her request has been denied by the authorities claiming that they can only offer Rs 5000-10,000 to the Baaji actor. A meeting was held under the supervision of the MPA Sadia Sohail Rana at the Alhamra Arts Council where it was unanimously decided that the department can give no more than Rs 10,000 to the actress. It was also stressed in the meeting that in order to qualify to receive aid from the fund, the artist should have a monthly income of less than Rs 15,000 and be above the age of 50.
