Middle East and the likely scenario!!!

The scenario in the Middle East might change to the utter detriment of Israel. The countries in the region are now seething with rage. They are on their tenterhooks, for they might be driven into war sooner than later.

The West for one, shouldn’t bury its head into the sand because the danger is imminent. Countries like Iran, Turkey, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia be obliged to take part, in case there is a ground invasion of Gaza, and to flush out Hamas from their tunnels is not going to be an easy task. In doing so, you may not be able to annihilate the entire Gaza. Which has a population of at least 2 million people. Russia is a silent spectator at the moment. Don’t forget that Russia may be dragged into this war by Iran.

Iran has been fighting their proxies in Ukraine. Hence, the region may turn into a bloody war theatre. On the other hand, Turkey could anytime demand nuclear warheads from Pakistan. Qatar can support Turkey by injecting funds. So all this aid in the form of money or munition will go against Israel. Collectively, this may all lead us into an armageddon. Hamas and Hezbollah are believed to have a minimum of 1,40,000 to 1,50,000 missiles which can wreak havoc.

This will be a combustible mix of agitated countries willing to unleash terror and rain hell on Israel. As for the Israelis, Gaza which is rubbled into a moonscape, practically navigating on a flat area will become very difficult as it lacks hideouts which you could be taking your positions from.

Now, as for Israelis, they have recruited more reservists this time around and they may not have achieved their optimal expertise. All this warrants only hellfire. People dying on both sides and for what? We must learn from history. In the Vietnam War, we saw a lot of casualties taking place – about 2 million non-Americans died whereas, 60,000 Americans lost their lives – and there were draftees who didn’t know what they were supposed to do or who they were fighting against.

50 years ago, on March 29, 1973, American troops evacuated Saigon. The war in Vietnam lasted 11 years and claimed about 2 million civilian lives, more than a million Vietnamese military personnel, and about 60,000 U.S. soldiers. Seven million tons of bombs and 80 million liters of poison were dropped on Vietnam. But that’s not what I wanted to write about. One of the American soldiers in the Vietnam War was found writing. The inscription reads, “We the unwilling, led by the unqualified to kill the unfortunate, die for the ungrateful.” Perhaps these words capture well the essence of that war through the eyes of a soldier.

Now if Israel does the same by experimenting with Agent Orange or some other deadly compound it might suck all oxygen from the air and people could turn into bony lunar dust.

America must watch its position. The troops that they intend to send may just be a drop in the ocean. The balance of power might tilt in the favour of Palestinians eventually, so to what avail?
