Miftah fulfills his promises: Rupee continues thrashing US dollar in Interbank

 

Pakistan Rupee is on the recovery path for last two weeks and on Tuesday it gained Rs1.48 and reached Rs212.50 in the interbank trading.

On Monday, USD closing rate was Ra213.98.

Finance Minister Miftah Ismail took credit of the USD weakening in front of the local currency.

He said, “Alhamdolillah both the Pakistani rupee and the Pakistani Stock Exchange have been the best performing during the first fortnight of August.”
