Miftah Ismail Asks For Vote In Exchange for "Juicy" Chilli Milli

Former Minister of Finance and General Secretary of Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) Sindh, Miftah Ismail, responded to a social media user’s complaint that Chilli Milli is no longer “juicy”.

According to the details, former federal finance minister responded to the complaint of a social media user on Twitter in which he asked him to vote for PML-N in the upcoming elections and in return he will get the more “juicy” Chilli Milli.

On August 22, 2021, Usman Lali posted a tweet raising his concerns regarding Chilli Milli which is a very famous snack jelly in Pakistan stating that “why is chilli milli not juicy anymore?” Nowadays the jelly is so dry and rubber-like “like eating a chilli milli dry fruit,” he added.

The Candyland owner, Miftah Ismail, retweeted the tweet, and quoted that he will ask the manufacturers to make the jelly more juicy. However, in return “please promise me to vote for PMLN in the next elections.”

Another social media user replied saying “Sir. You could rain down Chilli Milli from the skies on us until we are all knee deep in Chilli Milli and need boats to get through them and even then I’d never vote PMLN. Baaqi aap ki marzi.”

“I used to carry chilli milli always on my way back to every visit of Pakistan but now this sokhi maryal chilli milli lost its charm. I always thought it’s because I am consuming them so late,” said another Twitter user.

It is to be noted that PML-N Sindh General Secretary Miftah Ismail has resigned from the party earlier today. According to media reports, Miftah Ismail has sent his resignation to party president Shahbaz Sharif. It has been learnt that he resigned from PML-N over differences with party leadership.
