Milestone photograph of Prince George released for his 10th birthday

LONDON: On Friday, Kensington Palace released a new photograph of Prince George ahead of his 10th birthday on Saturday.

According to CNN reports, the photograph was released to commemorate the Prince ahead of his birthday on Saturday. A statement released by the Palace read: “The Prince and Princess of Wales are pleased to share a new photograph of Prince George ahead of his tenth birthday tomorrow”.

In the picture, a smiling Prince George can be seen in Windsor. The photograph was reportedly taken earlier this month by Millie Pilkington, confirmed a representative of Kensington Palace.

Previously, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, has taken photographs of her children on many occasions including birthdays.

It is pertinent to note that the young Prince who is second-in-line to the throne since King Charles III’s coronation earlier this year, is celebrating a milestone birthday today. Continuing their tradition of sharing a picture of their children on their birthdays, Prince William and Kate Middleton, released a new portrait on Friday to commemorate the young Prince.

Apart from Prince George’s birthday portrait, Millie Pilkington was also behind the camera for portraits of Prince Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, on their birthdays.

According to international media, Pilkington was also the person to snap portraits of the crown Prince, Prince William with his three children on Father’s Day, last month.
