Oct 1, 2021: The founder of Jang Group and Geo TV, Mir Khalil-ur-Rehman’s wife and mother of Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman, the network’s editor in chief, Mahmooda Khalil-ur-Rehman has passed away today.
Mrs. Rehman died in Karachi at the age of 95. She was the mother of Jang / Geo Editor-in-Chief Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman and the grandmother of Mir Ibrahim Rehman, CEO of Geo Television Network.
Her funeral prayers will be offered in Karachi today after Friday prayers. The victim’s family has requested prayers from home because of the standard coronavirus operating system.
Mrs. Rehman is survived by a son and four daughters, 24 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman’s mother had been ill for some time and was undergoing treatment at a local hospital. She was 94 years old. After the funeral prayers, she will be buried in the local cemetery. Journalists will attend the funeral prayers of the deceased will be offered in Karachi today after the Friday prayers.

Former President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed sorrow over the demise of Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman’s mother and said that the death of his mother is a great shock for the children. Asif Ali Zardari prayed for the forgiveness of Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman’s mother.
PML-N spokesperson Maryam Aurangzeb said that she was deeply saddened by the death of Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman, wife of Mir Khalil-ur-Rehman, founder of Jang Geo Group and mother of Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman.
