Modi Invited To Russia For Victory Day Parade

Russia has invited Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend its Victory Day Parade on May 9 in Moscow, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko confirmed. This comes against the backdrop of speculation that PM Modi may skip the event that marks 80 years since the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in World War II.
Russian news agency Tass, while quoting Rudenko, said the invitation has already been sent. “It’s being worked out; it should be this year. He has an invitation,” the agency added. However, there is no official confirmation from the Indian government.
Russia has invited leaders of several friendly nations to attend this year’s Victory Day parade.
