Indian PM Modi will be given the Covid-19 vaccine shot in the second stage of the ongoing mass vaccination drive in the country. Sources said that the Prime Minister all other chief ministers will be administered the COVID-19 vaccine dose after the first phase of mass vaccination ends.
It has also been reported that along with PM Modi, other leaders, bureaucrats, government officials aged over 50 years will also be vaccinated in the second phase of the vaccination. As per the plan, the COVID-19 vaccine will be administered to people above 50 and those with comorbidities in the second phase of vaccination.
The move will instil confidence among the general public amid concerns over the efficacy and safety of the two Covid-19 vaccines approved by the Drugs Controller General of India.
