MQM-P threatens to leave coalition government

Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), an ally of the coalition government, on Wednesday threatened to sit on the opposition benches.

MQM-P regsitered their reservations about the attitude of the coalition ministers of the government in the Parliament and threatened to sit on the opposition benches.

MNA Sheikh Salahuddin speaking on the the NA said that MQM-P has paid a heavy political price for incumbent government.

He said MQM-P will not hesitate to sit on this side, if such attitude will continue.

Another MNA from MQM, Sabir QaimKhani staged a walkout from the NA over no resolution to the problems of Hyderabad.

Qaimkhani reiterated his fellow lawmaker from MQM-P that no development budget is being allocated for their constituencies.

Later, Federal Minister Murtaza Javed Abbasi held talks with MQM members after they staged walk-out from the National Assembly (NA).
