Muharram will start from tomorrow in IIOJK, Ashura on July 17: Mufti Nasir

Grand Mufti of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir Nasir-ul-Islam has said that the crescent for the Muharram, which marks the first month of Islamic year, has not been sighted anywhere in territory and the Muharram for the Islamic year 1446 A.H will start from tomorrow (Monday).

Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam in a statement issued in Srinagar said the Ashura, Muharram 10, will be observed on July 17 (Wednesday).

He also extended his felicitations to the whole Muslim Ummah on the occasion and has prayed for sustainable peace, prosperity across the world.
