Muzaffarabad Airport to be Restored

Islamabad (2nd July, 2019): Plans to restore Muzaffarabad airport, expected to air-link Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) with the world.
According to Baaghi TV’s reports, Azad Kashmir is set to be linked with the global world by means of a proposed plan to restore Muzaffarabad airport.
Reports confirm that the plans to restore the airspace were first disclosed in a meeting between AJK Chief Secretary, Mathar Niaz Rana, Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Air Marshal, Arshad Malik in Jammu and Kashmir House, Islamabad.
Sources claim, the primary purpose of the meeting was to discuss the restoration of Muzaffarabad airport on the basis of operating commercial flights from Kashmir.
Moreover, the meeting helped decide feasibility of passenger fights between Islamabad and Muzaffarabad.
